Terms of Service

Last updated April 2026

1 · No legal advice

Content on ADAConsultant.org is educational. Nothing on this site is legal advice, and use of the site does not create an attorney-client relationship.

2 · The CIAC credential

The CIAC confirms participation in ADAConsultant.org training, agreement to the code of ethics, and ongoing continuing education. It is not a government license, accreditation, or regulatory approval. No credential — ours or anyone else's — can pre-certify a building or website as ADA-compliant.

3 · Member conduct

All CIAC holders agree to the published code of ethics. Violations may result in investigation, censure, suspension, or revocation of the credential through the complaint process.

4 · Course & capstone

Course tuition and capstone-assessment fees are non-refundable after 7 days from purchase or after you access more than Module 1, whichever is earlier. One free capstone retake is included; additional retakes are billed at cost.

5 · Dues & renewal

Annual membership dues are billed on the anniversary of your initial credentialing. A 30-day grace period follows lapse; after 30 days the directory listing moves to "lapsed" status. Reinstatement within 12 months requires only payment of back dues and current CE; after 12 months, re-examination may be required.

6 · Directory listings

Profile fields you publish to the public directory may be republished on ADAConsultant.com. Removing your membership also removes your public directory listing within 7 days.

7 · Acceptable use

Do not use the site to send spam, scrape member data, misrepresent your credential status, or attempt to circumvent authentication. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8 · Limitation of liability

ADAConsultant.org is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the site is limited to the amount of dues and fees you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

9 · Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which ADAConsultant.org is domiciled, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
